How do I wash my knitting/crochet?
Always read the washing instructions on the yarn band before you decide to put that lovingly, painstakingly made item in the wash.
The last thing you want is for it to shrink!
Anything with a wool content should steer clear well clear of the washing machine and in some cases you won't need to wash it at all.
You can pop 100% wool items on the washing line to air them. If they do get marked, spray a little wool wash mixed in a bottle onto the mark. You should be able to dab it away.
100% man made fibres such as acrylic should be perfectly fine in the wash but always follow the washing instructions.
